The importance of training
According to recent research carried out by Kent University in a study commissioned by the Sector Skills Development Agency, companies that didn’t train their employees were more likely to fail in business, than those that did.
The survey of 2,000 companies over a six year period found that 27% of companies failing to train did not survive compared to only 11%, amongst those that did. The result for manufacturing companies was worse, with a 50% closure rate amongst those that did not train, compared to 20% for those that did.
Sir Digby Jones, ( former director-general of the Confederation of British Industry) and the UK Government’s envoy for skills, said:
“This research shows that many companies which have closed down in the past six years could still be in business today, if they had invested in the skills of their staff. The evidence is clear that the cost of investing in higher-level skills is more than offset by business benefits to the bottom line”
Clearly the “The Key to Successful Selling” – an innovative sales development program developed by Ladegaard A/S has even greater advantages for business, with minimum down time and disruption making a decision to adopt this powerful new blended learning program, even more cost effective than traditional methods.
